Regina Askia Biography, Date Of Birth, Early Life, Family And Education

Imaobong Regina Askia Usoro (now Regina Askia Williams) was born on the 17th of May, 1967 in Lagos State, Nigeria. She had her primary education in Lagos State and seconmdary education at the Federal Government Girls' College, Calabar and graduated in 1985.
She then gained admission to study at the  University of Calabar (UNICAL) but transferred to University of Lagos (UNILAG) in 1988.

Entertainment Career

Regina's first move into the entertainment industry was in her years at UniLag when she contested and won the Miss Unilag in 1988. The same year, she also competed in the MBGN contest and came out second.
In 1990, Regina Askia represented Nigeria at the Miss Charm International held in Leningrad, Russia and came second. In addition to that she became the first Nigerian at Miss International in Japan. In the contest she made an impact with the most outstanding traditional costume. Regina's office as a beauty queen made her travel around different parts of the world experiencing different cultures.
In 90s, she started a modelling career and got featured in several advertising and promotional campaigns for various brands. With the fame she was getting already, featuring as national acclaim when she featured as the unforgettable Gold digger Tokunbo Johnson in NTA's soap opera Mega Fortunes became very easy for her.
She also starred in a number of Nollywood movies and produced several programs in Health and Beauty including a soap opera Cankerworm.

Personal Life

Regina Askia-Williams is married to American Rudolph 'Rudy' Williams (grandson of Fess Williams and nephew of Ron Everette). The marriage is blessed with two children:- Teesa Olympia and Rudolph Junior. Regina also has a daughter Stephanie Hornecker, from a previous relationship.
She is presently living in New York City where she works in a foremost Hospital as a senior transplant nurse.
