Kiki Mordi was born on the 12th of August, 1991 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. She had her early education in Rivers State and gained admission into University of Nigeria, Nsukka to study medicine after her father's death.
She reportedly dropped out of school due to sexual harassment from a certain lecturer, hence her unending passion to fight sexual harassment in Nigerian higher institutions.

Career

In 2017, Kiki Mordi begun an online petition to end police exploitation and extortion after some members of the Nigerian police force invaded her home, accusing her boyfriend (and her) of being cultists.
Mordi is currently a BBC Africa Eye reporter and the head of presenting with WFM 91.7. It was as a BBC Africa Eye reporter that she teamed up with some other people to produce a 13-minute documentary exposing sexual harassment of students by lecturers in University of Ghana and University of Lagos.
Lectures implicated in the videos included Dr. Boniface Igbeneghu of UniLag, Dr. Paul Kwame Butakor and Dr. Ransford Gyampo of University of Ghana.

Several Nigerians have hailed her for her bravely in tackling the issue of sexual harassment among lectures in West African universities. Influencers like Adekunle Gold, Simi, Atiku Abubakar and Bukola Saraki have called on the Nigerian government to take immediate action against the rising issue.
