The Nigeria Police Force Salary

Police Constable 

Qualification needed: O’ level certificate with at least five credit including maths and English.
Salary: ₦43,293

Cadet Inspector of Police

Qualification needed: A level, OND, NCE, and O’ level certificate with five credits including maths and English.
Salary: ₦73,231

Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police

Qualification needed: HND or Bachelor degree, NYSC certificate.

What are the requirement for Nigeria police academy?
If you're still of age, you can consider joining the Nigerian Police Force through the Nigerian Police Academy. After studying for 5 years in the academy, graduates would have garnered experiences in both academic and police training, and will be adsorbed in the force.
There are some requirements one must meet in order to gain admission into the Nigerian Police Academy. They are as follows:
Nationality: Interested candidates must be Nigerian citizens
• Age: Candidates seeking admission into the Academy must be aged between 17 and 22.
Physique: Interested candidates must have a height of not less than 1.67 Metres (5 Feet 6 Inches) if male, and 1.62 Metres (5 Feet 4 Inches) if female.
In addition to the height, all male candidates must have an expanded chest size of not less than 86cm (34 Inches for those between 21 and 22 years of age).
Please note that all candidates seeking admission into the Academy must be free from any physical deformity or mental disability.
Academic qualification: All candidates must have a minimum of SIX (6) credits at the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) conducted by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), the National Examinations Council (NECO) or the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) at not more than 2 sittings. 
Test and interviews: After meeting all the criteria above, candidates will also be required to undergo some physical and psychological tests of fitness.
Also, candidates seeking admission into the Academy must also obtain satisfactory scores in both the written examination and the interview.
NOTE: According to the official website, SSCE statement of results or certificates relating to exams taken before 2015 will not be accepted by the agency.

More about the exams:

There are exam centres in Abuja, Bauchi, Benue, Calabar, Enugu, Ibadan, Jos, Kaduna, Kano, Lagos, Lokoja, Maiduguri, Minna, Owerri, Port Harcourt, Sokoto and Yola.
While coming to their respective examination venues, candidates are expected to bring along their Examination Card, Acknowledgement Form, JAMB Result Slip and two Postcard size photographs (3.5×5 Inches) which should show only from the chest upwards.
Candidates are also instructed to write their names, state of origin, examination centre and signature at the back of each of the two Postcard size photographs.

The subjects you'd be taking vary but every candidate must take the general papers.

For the faculty of Humanities:

Candidates will be taking the following courses:

For the faculty of Law:

Courses Available in the Academy

The following courses are available in the Academy for those intending to pursue a Bachelor's degree:
Faculty of Humanities: BA in: English; Nigerian Languages & Linguistics; History and International Studies.
Faculty of Law: LLB
Faculty of Science: BSc in: Biochemistry; Biological Sciences; Chemistry; Computer Science; Forensic Science; Mathematics; and Physics.
Faculty of Social and Management Science: BSc in: Accounting; Economics; Management Sciences; Political Science; Psychology; and Sociology.

How To Join The Nigerian Police Force As A Graduate

You can still join the Nigerian Police Force without having to undergo the 5-year bachelor's degree program. The various positions in the agency are usually advertised as they become vacant.
The various positions have different requirements and qualifications attached to them.
Some of the requirements include:
• Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police
  - Applicants must have a Bachelors Degree or High National Diploma (HND). They'll also need to present their NYSC certificate.
  - Interested applicants must be between 23 and 28 years.
• Cadet Inspector of Police
  - Interested applicants must possess a minimum of either Ordinary National Diploma (OND), Advanced Level (A Level), National Certificate of Education (NCE) or their equivalent.
  - In addition to these, applicants will also be required to have at least five (5) credit level passes (including Mathematics and English Language) at O’Level.
  - Interested applicants must be between 23 and 28 years.
• Police Constable
  - Interested applicants must possess an O’Level certificate (or its equivalent) with at least five credit level passes, including Mathematics and English Language in not more than two sittings.
  - Interested applicants must be between 19 and 25 years.

General Requirements To Join The Police Service Commission

In addition to the different requirements stated above, interested applicants are also required to fulfil the following:
• All applicants must be of Nigerian origin 
• Applicants must be 18 years old and above
• Applicants will be required to present a valid means of identification; ie voter's card, driving licence, etc.
• All interested applicants must have a functional/working email address.

Kindly note:

• Applicants are advised to ensure that they spell their names properly, just the same way it appears on your senior school certificate.
• Date of births should also be entered correctly, to avoid issues in the future.
• When filling the police recruitment form online, applicants must use a recent photograph.
• Applicants are advised to carefully choose the category that you are eligible for, this is because multiple applications would lead to disqualifications.
• Applicants must download a copy of the Guarantor’s Form. This is to be signed by verifiable references from any two (2) of the following: Local Government Chairman, Traditional Rulers, Magistrate, Heads of Educational Institutions attended, Career Civil Servant not below the rank of Grade Level 12, Police Officer not below the rank of CSP, or Military Officer not below the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
• Candidates applying for a Specialist position must possess relevant certificates and/or credentials in the required technical discipline.
