Stella Damasus Biography, Date Of Birth, Early Life, Family And Education

Stella Damasus was born on the 24th of April, 1978 in Benin City, Edo State in Nigeria. Her father, Chief SKC Damasus was a banker and Stella grew up with her parents and four sisters.
She began and finished her primary in Benin, but had to complete her secondary education in Delta State after her family relocated to Asaba when she was still 13 years old. She is also a graduate of the University of Lagos (UniLag) where she obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Theatre Arts.

Entertainment Career

Stella's first step to stardom was in the early 1990s when she became associated with Kingsley Ogoro's owned Klink Studios. While in the studio, she developed her singing skills and started getting gigs to do jingles for top Nigerian radio and TV jingles.

She however begun acting in 1992 when she debuted in the movie, 'Abused'. The movie that however brought her to limelight was her second movie, 'Breaking Point'. The movie was produced by Emem Isong and directed by Francis Agu.

Since then, she has not looked back in providing constant entertainment for the whole of Nigeria and Africa as a whole, in fact, Stella Damasus has now been featured in more than 70 Nollywood movies.

Personal Life

In 1999, Damasus got married to her first husband, Jaiye Aboderin and the couple had two daughters before Jaiye's sudden death in 2005. In 2007, she remarried to Emeka Nzeribe but they divorced after seven months of living together.
In In 2011, she became associated with popular Nollywood producer and director Daniel Ademinokan and they got married in 2014.
Stella Damasus currently resides in the United States but visits Nigeria once in a while for holidays or jobs.
