Adebayo Sikiru Osinowo (aka Pepperito) was born on the 28th of November, 1955 to Late Alhaji Rabiu Osinowo and Mariamo Taiwo Osinowo. His father hailed from Odo-Egbo in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.Adebayo Osinowo started his primary education at St. Augustin Primary School. On completing grade 6, he proceeded into Issoyin Grammar School, Isoyin for his secondary education.
Osinowo further travelled to abroad in search of the golden fleece. He pursued higher education in Italy, obtaining a Diploma in Building Technology lnstituto per Geometri, Rome, Italy with MSC in Communication from the prestigious Urbaniana University, Rome.
Career
Adebayo Osinowo returned to Nigeria on completing his studies, getting a job as a land officer in the Federal Ministry of works. From 1986 to 2003, he worked as the Managing Director at NITAL International.His next job was in the NIMCO International Co. Ltd, where he also served as the managing director from 1990 to 2003. He further worked as Managing Director, at Extreme Piling and Construction Company Ltd and NIMCO Dredging Company from 1990 to 2003
Politics
Adebayo Osinowo first step into politics was as in the second republic when he served as a youth Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP).In 2003, Osinowo contested to represent Kosofe in the Lagos State House of Assembly and won. Before becoming a senator, he was re-elected thrive in the Lagos State House of Assembly, making him a fourth term Lagos State legislator.
On February 23, 2019, Adebayo Osinowo was elected Senator, representing the Lagos East Senatorial District at the Nigerian National Assembly. He was subsequently appointed as the Chairman, Senate Committee on Industries.
Personal Life
Senator Adebayo Osinowo is married to Mrs Mariam Ayodele Oshinowo and they have three children together, Dr Taiwo Bakare, Dr Kehinde Adebisi and Babtunde Osinowo.In the 15th of June, 2020, the shocking news of Sen. Osinowo broke out. He reportedly died after a brief illness.
