Arthur Eze was born on the 27th of November, 1948 in Ukpo village, Dunukofia Local Government Anambra State, Nigeria into a royal family. His elder brother is currently the traditional ruler of  Ukpo village.
On completing his primary education, Arthur enrolled at the St. Augustin Secondary School in Nkwere, Imo State. After his secondary education, he travelled to the United States and got admission to study mechanical and chemical engineering from 1974 to 1978.

Career

In 1991, Arthur Eze founded Atlas Oranto Petroleum, a company that has grown to over 2 oil and gas licenses in 12 jurisdictions across Africa. The company is currently the largest holder of oil exploration blocks in Africa.

It also owns equity and working interests in several acreages across the Gulf of Guinea, this includes countries like Nigeria, Liberia, Senegal, Gambia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Equatorial Guinea Mali and the Republic of Benin.

Establishment of Triax Airlines

Prince Arthur Eze in 1992, founded the Triax airlines with its base in Enugu Airport. The airline stopped operating in 2000. During the over 8 years of operating, the airline had three Boeing 727s.

Politics

Arthur Eze is regarded as a 'godfather' in Anambra politics and beyond. According to Entrepreneurs.ng, he has always donated generously to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). In fact, the former Imo State governor, Hon Emeka Ihedioha visited Prince Arthur Eze in less than 24 hours after being the election results were announced.
He doesn't only support the PDP, a report had it that the ‘All Progressive Grand Alliance’ (APGA) was formed in his sitting room.

Arthur Eze is happily married with children. On the 16th of July, 2017, Prince Olisa, one of his children dedicated his first son at St. Matthews Anglican Communion Maitama, Abuja.

Many blogs listed Onyeka Eze, the founder of Prince Osisioma Foundation as one of Arthur Eze's sons.

Below are some of his philanthropic activities:
• In May 2019, Arthur Eze donated $500,000 to Nwafor Orizu College of Education Nsugbe (NOCEN), a Nigerian tertiary institution located in Anambra State, for the construction of a student hostel within the campus.
• In October 2018, he donated $800,000 for the constructing of two primary schools in Yirol and Rumbek communities in central South Sudan.
• In May 2013, he donated $12 million to fund the construction of an Anglican church-affiliated Youth Development Center in Otuoke, Bayelsa State, Nigeria.
• In June 2016, he donated the sum of ₦5 million to the members of the Association of People Living with Sickle Cell Dis­order (APLSCD). The money was to be used for building a standard sickle cell clinic at Ukpo, Dunukofia Council Area of Anambra State.
• In December 2019, Arthur Eze donated ₦20 million to Awka during the Otochal Awka Day celebration which held at Ndichie Square, Umudioka Village. 
• Arthur Eze gave ₦25 million of the total funds raised for the ‘Russia 2018’ FIFA World Cup in 2018
• Arthur donated $6.3 million for flood relief in Nigeria in 2013.
• He singlehandedly built a medical research unit for the Nnamdi Azikiwe University.
