Bashir Ahmad was born on the 10th of June, 1991 in Kano State, Nigeria. After his primary and secondary education, Ahmad gained admission to study at the Bayero University, Kano, graduating in 2013 with a degree in Mass Communication.After completing his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program, Bashir Ahmad got a job at the Leadership Newspaper where he worked as an online editor for the Hausa Version of the newspaper. He also worked as an online editor and sports reporter for Rariya Hausa Newspaper.
Prior to his getting the federal appointment, Bashir Ahmad worked as the Personal Assistant on New Media to Sam Nda-Isiah, the publisher of Leadership Newspaper and one of the Presidential aspirants of APC in the 2015 general elections.
In 2015, he was listed by President Mohammadu Buhari as a member of his campaign committee. Following Buhari's victory at the 2015 presidential elections, Bashir Ahmad was appointed the president's Personal Assistant on New Media in January 2016.
He was reappointed into the same position in 2019 after President Buhari won his re-election bid.
