Liz Benson was born on the 5th of April, 1966 in Etinawa, a small town in Akwa Ibom State. She discovered her passion at a very early age and by the time she was five, she was already acting. She had her primary and secondary education in Akwa Ibom State.

After obtaining her West African Senior School Certificate, she relocated to the United States to complete her academic pursuit. Over there, she gained admission to study at Sylvania State College, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Dramatic Arts.

Liz Benson is no doubt, one of the most talented actresses in the Nigerian movie industry. She is very beautiful, creative, gifted and skilled in acting and interpreting any roles given to her.

Upon returning to Nigeria after completing her studies, Benson joined the Nigerian movie industry. She rose to fame after starring in a TV series titled; 'Fortunes'.
