Prohibited Items On A Local Flight
If you have plans of travelling soon, also check out the easiest ways to get the international passport for yourself. Being in possession of these items may affect your boarding of a commercial airline for a local flight. In some cases, your flight will be delayed and in more severe cases, denied. If things get too serious, it can land you an arrest and we all dread that.
Below are a list of some of the items prohibited at the ESRA or SRA of any Nigerian domestic airport as highlighted by the Federal Airport Authority Of Nigeria (FAAN).
- Sporting Objects
Anything from bows and arrows, spear guns, darts, baseball bats, cricket bats, golf clubs, hockey sticks, ski poles, snooker or pool cues, billiard and even up to the lacrosse sticks are prohibited. These items could pass for weapons and so banned.- Sharp Objects
Ice picks, box cutters, knives, scissors, screwdrivers, sewing instruments and more aren't allowd. Syringes, needles and other medical equipment could be allowed but on production of doctors certificate stating their medical necessity.- Narcotics
Hard drugs and narcotics of any kind are prohibited except on production of documented proof stating medical necessity.- Flammable items
Fuels including cooking fuels and any flammable liquids, gases, gas torches and any other flammable items or substances are prohibited.- Guns and other firearms
Compressed air guns, BB guns, flares, flare guns, gun lighters, gun powder, pallet guns, pistols, catapults and any other items that could pass as firearms are prohibited.- Tools
Cattle prods, hammers, axes, hatchets, crowbars, saws, screwdrivers, cutleries and other tools are prohibited.- Poisons and any other items/substances that can cause injuries to humans
Any commodity which can cause damages to humans and properties are prohibited. Such substances like acids, tear gas and radioactive materials inclusive.- Martial arts and self-defense items
You have the security so there's no need for all these...Lol! Keep your materials such as nunchakus, night sticks, throwing stars, billy clubs, kubatons, pepper sprays and other items at home.- Explosive materials
Dynamites, blasting caps, hand grenades, plastic explosives and other items like fireworks are prohibited on a flight.We don't really need most of these items while on a flight. It is best to avoid these above items to escape the consequences.
