Jiji Raises $21 Million To Expand Its Online Classifieds Platform In Africa

Jiji, the biggest online classifieds platform in Africa has successfully raised $21 million in Series C and C-1 financing from six investors, led by Knuru Capital.
The funding, which brings its total capital raised to $50 million, would be used to increase the overall number of buyers, sellers and transactions on its site, as well as upgrade the platform to create more listings and faster matching in the area of real-estate, according to co-founder, Vladimir Mnogoletniy.

Jiji is a Nigerian online marketplace that provides thousands of buyers and sellers with an avenue to meet and exchange goods and services.

As at January 2018, it held over 800,000 ads, attracting over 160,000 sellers and 7 million unique users per months, who look for bargains in cars, household goods, mobile phones, cosmetics, toys, pets, livestock, electronics, services, and most recently, to look for jobs by searching through job vacancies.

Jiji is currently ranked as the 39th overall most visited website in Nigeria by Alexa and as the 50th TOP site in Nigeria for all categories by SimilarWeb.
