Tunde Braimoh Biography
In the early hours of Friday, the news of the death of popular Lagos lawmaker, Tunde Braimoh was all over the internet.
He joined the likes of Abba Kyari and Abiola Ajimobi who died after contacting the deadly Coronavirus and will likely be buried today, following the Islamic rites. According to Sahara Reporters, the 59-year-old will be laid to rest at Vault Garden, Awoyaya, beside Mayfair Garden, Lekki, Lagos.

Tunde Braimoh Biography

Tunde Braimoh was until his death, the chairman, house committee on information, security and strategy. He was born on the 30th of September, 1960 in Lagos State. After schooling at the  Ogun State University, Ago-Iwoye where he obtained an LL.B Hons in 1988, he proceeded to the Nigeria Law School Bar. He further proceeded to the Bradley University, United State for his PhD. 

Political Career

He practised law until 1999 when he got elected as the chairman of the Kosofe Local Government Area of Lagos State. He served as the lawmaker, representing the Kosofe II Constituency from 2015 to 2019, and got re-elected in the 2019 elections.
The deceased, until his death, was the chairman, house committee on information, security and strategy.

Personal Life

Tunde Braimoh is survived by his beautiful wife, Yetunde and children. He was a devoted Musil and will be buried today according to the Muslim rites.
According to Sokunle, chairman, house committee on health, the late Braimoh might have contracted COVID-19 from Adebayo Osinowo, the lawmaker representing Lagos East senatorial district, who died on June 15, 2020.

Awards and Recognitions

In 2001, Tunde Braimoh was awarded the Best Local Government Chairman by the Fame Magazine.
