In this article, we'd be seeing the biography of the current Chief of Air Staff of the Nigerian Airforce (NAF), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar. Top Nigerian online news agency, Sahara Reporters recently reported on how Nigeria’s Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq, tied the nuptial knots with Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, in a secret ceremony in Abuja.
This isn't the first time of Sadiya Umar Farouq getting in the news over her marriage. Sometime last year, the 45 years old minister was rumored to be getting married with President Muhammadu Buhari, a report which she denied.
While none of the parties is yet to issue a statement on the recent development, Sahara Reporters further claimed that the marriage took place last Friday in an 'extremely' private event.
Sadique Abubakar Biography
Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar was born on the 8th of April, 1960 in Azare, Bauchi State. He had his primary education at St Paul's Primary School Bauchi. After obtaining his First School Leaving Certificate in 1973, he proceeded to the Government Secondary School, Bauchi for his secondary education.In November 1979, he joined the Nigerian Air Force as a member of Cadet Military Training Course (CMTC 5). He further obtained a Diploma in Public Administration and a Bachelor of Science degree (second class upper division) in political science. He also holds a Master of Science Degree in Strategic Studies from the prestigious University of Ibadan.
Sadique Abubakar has a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) Helicopters with Instrument Rating and has flown a total of 7 aircraft types: Bell 206, Bulldog, BO-105, Enstrom, Mi- 17, Mi-35P and Piper Warrior.
Prior to his getting appointed as the Chief of Air Staff, Sadique Abubakar has held other several appointments, including Chief of Standards and Evaluation, NAF Headquarters, Chief of Defence Communications and Air Officer Commanding, NAF Training Command. He also served as the Chief of Administration, NAF Headquarters.
