TECNO Moves To 9th While APPLE Slips To 4th In The List Of Top Smartphone Makers
According to a recent survey by the IHS Markit list of the world’s top smartphone makers, Apple has gone down in sales to become the biggest loser during the second quarter of 2009.
The US top phone manufacturer dropped on the list as they could only ship out around 35.3 million mobile phones.
Samsung leads the list with about 75.1 million phones being shipped, while Huawei shipped 58.1 million phones, becoming second and Oppo 36.2 million phones, becoming the third.

The other mobile phone manufactures who rounded up the list include Vivo, LG, Motorola, Tecno and TCL-Alcatel.
Most people believe that the drop in sales of the Apple iPhones would be probably because their consumers are still holding onto older models, while we all also know that they have refused to release cheaper iPhones, which could probably have an upper hand in their drops in sales.
Hong-Kong owned company, Tecno is ranked 9th on the IHS Markit list with most of its revenue coming from Africa.
They shipped a total of 3.9 million phones in the second quarter, accounting for about 1% of the total market share. Though it isn't really a progress, at least when compared to their shipments in the second quarter of 2018, when they shipped about 4 million phones.

Maybe because of their flexibility in both prices and specs, Tecno has managed to top Apple in sales when we are talking about Africa.
